I haven't found any scientific evidence for it so far, but I think my fixation for reflections and seeing life through glass is a legacy of the months I spent in an incubator as a premature baby. That incubator can also explain why I am more interested in suggestion than illustration and more connected with atmosphere than information. It may also explain my love for dirty windows with fingerprints. Other humans were out of reach for some months. Maybe that's why someone's backside tells me more than a face. What happens outside an image is just as important as the detail that can be seen in the frame. There is also a strange preference of me, both in film and photography work, for accident and lack of control. That condition turns my creative mind on and makes me react instinctively to what's happening.
Would you like to reflect, fancy an accidental collaboration or have a glass with me? Feel free to drop a line.
