As cinematographer for documentaries and feature films, I travel all over the world to find and tell stories. Despite the inspiring mission that I am on, a lot of my time is spent in traffic jams.
But even in these mundane moments, I find inspiration. Coming face to face with someone in a traffic jam is like having a brief but intense meeting. The moments of non-movement give me a chance to become acquainted with places, moods and atmospheres that I might miss if I were zooming along.
It’s incredible how close, intense and authentic you can get with others during these jams. In a split second, I transform my glimpse into a photograph. “Traffic Jamming” is an ongoing series.
